Today kicks off the Women in Cannabis Expo in Reno, NV – a gathering that celebrates, connects, and empowers women making waves in our industry. 💚

We’ve long dreamed of being part of this event, and while this year’s schedule didn’t allow us to attend, our hearts are right there in the room with the amazing women who are breaking barriers, building businesses, advocating for policy change, and shaping the future of cannabis.

From pioneers like Brownie Mary – whose compassion for AIDS patients helped ignite the medical cannabis movement – to modern leaders like Wanda James, the first African American woman to own a dispensary in the U.S., and Mara Gordon, a medical cannabis researcher changing patient care worldwide… women have been the backbone of progress in cannabis.

These women, and so many others, have fought stigma, challenged outdated laws, and created inclusive spaces where the plant’s benefits can be understood and enjoyed responsibly. They’ve opened doors for the next generation – and the future is bright.

At Healing Seed VA, we’re proud to have an all-women Board of Directors. Every day, we strive and push to make positive change right here in Virginia – advocating for education, equity, and opportunities in our community.

We believe the coming years will bring more women CEOs, scientists, cultivators, educators, and advocates leading the charge for equity, innovation, and sustainability in cannabis.

So today, we send love, respect, and gratitude to every woman in cannabis making history – and we can’t wait to stand alongside you at a future Women in Cannabis Expo. 💪🌱✨
